Winter’s Tale is now available to order. I was finally able to watch it and, while I wondered how they would pull off fitting such a massive book into less than two hours, it ended up being a lovely movie with good performances from its main cast. Lucy, with her short and heartbreaking part near the beginning, was also very good. Screen captures are in the gallery.
Ladies and gentlemen, here is the awesome three-minute trailer for Constantine. We have all summer to help build up buzz for the show—and for Lucy. You can subscribe to the official YouTube channel right here. Screen captures from the trailer are in the gallery. Feel free to leave comments about the trailer or links to any fan art you create with screen captures (from the site or otherwise).
Lucy attended a new event today in New York to promote Constantine. Thank you to Annika and Far Far Away for the pretty high-quality pictures. There are 40+ HQ and MQ pictures in the gallery, with more to follow once I find them.
I have some excellent news for you all. Yesterday Entertainment Weekly reported that NBC have said yes to a Constantine series! A first look still was also released and we get to see Lucy in character. Feel free to leave celebratory comments below.
NBC has ordered three new series Thursday: First is drama Constantine, based on characters from DC Comics about a supernatural detective who finds himself having to defend the world against dark forces. Constantine stars Matt Ryan as detective John Constantine, as well as Sons of Anarchy‘s Harold Perrineau; True Blood‘s Lucy Griffiths, and True Detective‘s Charles Halford. It marks yet another DC Comics show added to the airwaves [...] The pilot-to-series orders kicks the latest round of NBC verdicts going into their upfront presentation to advertisers next week.
Up and Comers provides a summary of additional released details.
Ryan’s John Constantine is “an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond,” and is based off the DC comic book character. In the supporting cast, Griffiths’ Liv is described as “an offbeat young lady” who can see the supernatural and teams up with him after being marked for death by a demon. Harold Perrineau plays Manny, “an authoritative angel” tasked with watching over Constantine, and Charles Halford will play Chas, Constantine’s oldest friend.
“Constantine” should show up on NBC’s fall schedule, with an exact premiere date to come.
Lucy attended an event on April 16. Thank you to Leah for emailing me about it. I managed to find one untagged photo for the gallery. As a lover of cats, I appreciate the shirt very much.
COS, which stands for Collection of Style, originally hails from Sweden. Last night’s launch marks the brand’s first introduction to Los Angeles, exclusively through Opening Ceremony. The carefully edited collection will be housed in the special pop-up space until stocks last, so be sure to head over to OCLA to check it out before it’s gone!
First things first! Lucy was photographed for In My Air recently and pictures, gathered from various locations on the Internet, have been added to the gallery.
Secondly, it has been brought to my attention that there are social media accounts that are supposedly Lucy and linking to this website. I have no idea if these accounts—verified or not—are really her and am not using non-fansite social media accounts to promote the website. My apologies if Lucy really is on social media!
Lucy has a new upcoming feature film in the works. The romantic comedy, Home for Christmas, was announced a few months ago. You can learn more about or help promote the movie by visiting the Jumpstart Productions website and liking its official page on Facebook. The IMDb page is right here. Lucy plays the role of Alice.
Beth Prince has always loved fairytales and now she feels like she’s finally on the verge of her own happily ever after; a dream job in a charming independent cinema by the seaside and a gorgeous boyfriend. There’s just one problem – no man has ever told her they love her. Desperate to hear their crucial three little words for the first time Beth takes matters into her own hands – and wishes she hasn’t.
I am happy to find out about new Lucy projects. Thank you to those that tried to inform me about them. There was much spam in the comments system during my school hiatus that I missed many of them. I am also a little behind in news, so please forgive me—again.
The first new project for Lucy is a television pilot called Constantine for NBC. Check out the IMDb page for it right here. Lucy plays the role of Liv. ComingSoon.net has a few more known details. I wish everyone involved with this pilot the very best in having it continue into a series!
Set to star Matt Ryan as the titular character, “Constantine” will also feature Lucy Griffiths as Liv, Harold Perrineau as the angel Manny and Charles Halford as Constantine’s friend Chas. Written by Daniel Cerone (“The Mentalist”) from a story by Cerone and David S. Goyer, the pilot for “Constantine” is currently in production with The Descent and “Game of Thrones” director Neil Marshall at the helm.
High-quality pictures from the Winter’s Tale New York premiere have been added to the gallery. The HQs from the premiere arrivals are from Far Far Away. Photos from the After Party are courtesy of Annika. Thank you! In a related note, I bought the novel today and look forward to reading it.
Lucy attended the New York and World Premiere of A Winter’s Tale tonight. A few medium-quality pictures are in the gallery, but I will add high-quality versions when I find them. I am so excited for this movie (and need to find a copy of the book to read). Please report back if you go to see it when it opens this Friday. I would love to hear from you.
